Olivia Biel, Features Editor

Originally an English major, Olivia Biel (BEE-UHL) started studying journalism in the Fall of 2018. She started writing for the Beacon the following semester. After taking a course in media writing, she was captivated by the way journalism could be used to bring important issues to light and connect them to the stories of individuals. She is particularly interested in feature, investigative and literary journalism. Her favorite news outlet is the New York Times. Biel is also a Media Studies minor.
