Delta Phi Epsilon, a sorority on campus and part of the National Panhellenic Conference, recently won DIMES for DPhiE, an annual campaign competition held throughout March. Delta Phi Epsilon was founded in March by five women, Dorothy Cohen

Schwartzman, Ida Bienstock Landau, Minna Goldsmith Mahler, Eva Effron Robin, and Sylvia Steierman Cohn. The five founders are represented by DIMES, an acronym created from the first initial of each founder’s name. The money raised during the DIMES for DPhiE campaign supports educational opportunities for sisters internationally.
William Paterson’s Delta Phi Epsilon chapter, Epsilon Chi, won this year’s campaign by raising the most money per sister. The achievement marks a significant accomplishment for the chapter and reflects the dedication of its members. Active members, alumnae, and community supporters contributed to the effort.
To fundraise for the campaign, the Epsilon Chi chapter hosts an annual 5K at Goffle Brook Park. The Unicorn Stampede brings together community members for a race that raises funds while creating a festive atmosphere. The event features the sorority’s unicorn mascot cheering on participants.

By winning DIMES for DPhiE, the chapter receives several benefits. Members will be able to send two additional delegates to the International Leadership Forum, a biannual national leadership conference, with airfare included. Scholarships will also be awarded to members of the executive board to attend ElevateU, an annual regional conference. These opportunities support leadership development, networking, and team building. The chapter will also receive a professional photo shoot and be featured on the cover of The TRIAD, the sorority’s magazine published three times a year.
This year, two William Paterson Delta Phi Epsilon members, Olivia Morrison and Kaylee Vitale, received scholarships from the educational foundation. Morrison serves as member at large on the executive board, and Vitale served as new member educator and sisterhood chair this semester. The scholarships recognize their commitment to the chapter and their academic achievements.
Overall, the Epsilon Chi chapter worked to support philanthropic efforts and contribute to the broader community. Philanthropy remains a core component of Greek life, and the chapter’s success reflects its commitment to service, leadership, and community engagement.
