The WPSPJ Podcast is set to return for the Spring 2026 semester at William Paterson University, ushering in a new chapter under fresh student leadership.
Junior Sabrina Cossati and senior Emily Rice will serve as co-executive producers of the podcast, reviving the platform after more than a year of inactivity. The most recent episode aired Dec. 2, 2024.

The relaunch comes as the William Paterson chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists continues to build on its national reputation. In 2023, WPSPJ was named National Campus Chapter of the Year by the Society of Professional Journalists, earning the top honor among 108 chapters across the United States.
The podcast is recorded in the podcasting studio located in Hamilton Hall, Room 224. The space is equipped with professional-grade audio technology, including a RODECaster console synced to microphones and headphones, an iMac for audio editing and soundproof wall panels designed to ensure broadcast-quality recordings.
Under Cossati and Rice’s leadership, the podcast aims to spotlight student journalists, highlight stories from the campus newspaper The Beacon and examine major events taking place across the university.
“I’m most looking forward to talking to different journalists on campus, and giving them the outlet to talk about their passions and the work they are doing in and outside of school,” Cossati said.
“I am planning on having a different journalism major from William Paterson every week. Whether they come to talk about a recent project they finished, an event they have been to, such as a conference, or just talk about their goals in the Communications Department and when they finish college, this podcast’s goal is to give more attention to the journalists on campus and the hard work they put toward their career goals,” Cossati added.

New episodes are expected to be released in the coming weeks and will be available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and other major streaming platforms. Updates and announcements can be found on Instagram at @wpspj.
