On Sunday, Feb. 1, the Recording Academy held the 68th Annual Grammy Awards. 95 awards went out to various artists, producers, etc., but there was one particular moment that everyone will be talking about for a long time.
Album of the Year is one of the most prestigious awards at the Grammys, and there were a lot of deserving nominees this year. Of the eight nominees, the voters of the Recording Academy gave the award to Bad Bunny for his album “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS”. Bad Bunny winning the award is a moment in history, for this is the first fully Spanish-speaking album to ever win Album of the Year at the US Grammys.
Bad Bunny won a total of three awards, with the other two being Best Música Urbana Album and Best Global Music Performance.
With the Grammys being the biggest night for the music industry, there were other moments to highlight.
Kendrick Lamar won the most awards on Sunday, with a total of five Grammys. He won a Grammy for Record of the Year, Best Rap Album, Best Melodic Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance.
Other awards given throughout the night include Song of the Year, which was given to Billie Eilish, Best R&B Album, which was given to Leon Thomas, and Best Pop Solo Performance, which was given to Lola Young.
A special honorary award was given to Pharrell Williams: The Dr. Dre Global Impact Award, acknowledging his creative contribution and influence on the music industry.
At the Grammys were also a lot of performances from artists such as Sabrina Carpenter, Lady Gaga, Tyler, The Creator and more.
To present the award for Best New Artist, each nominee was allowed to do a small performance, introducing themselves and their talents to the music industry. After the performances, the award was given to Olivia Dean.

Toward the end of the night, there was a segment featuring many memorial performances honoring those in the music industry who have passed over the years. Artists such as Reba McEntire, Post Malone, Lauryn Hill and others gave a moving tribute to show their respect.
