Jeremy Renner and Ex Sonni Pachecos Heated Legal Battle

Looks like Hawkeye missed the target. Avengers star Jeremy Renner has recently made headlines after reports of drama between him and ex-wife Sonni Pacheco.

The two are currently involved in a heated legal battle involving the custody of their 6-year-old daughter Ava, and both intend on gaining full custody.

Reports have stated that Pacheco has sought out protection from Renner after he placed a shotgun in his mouth and made death threats to her. Pacheco also claimed that Renner fired the gun at the ceiling while their daughter Ava slept in the next room.

She has previously stated that Renner has substance abuse issues and sex addiction. She is asking for a room to be set aside for herself, her daughters and their nanny for safety since guns are not permitted in the courthouse. The nanny came forward revealing that she was the reason he fired the gun after he said she would not have the lifestyle she did if he was dead.

Renner soon after made his own accusations stating that his ex was “an unstable liar who is hell-bent on creating gross allegations against him.” In legal documents accessed by TMZ, Renner claims their marriage hit a dangerous point in 2015 and, at that time, he did not intend to stay in the marriage. He claims that Pacheco has been continuously trying to make false claims against him, stating that he physically and sexually abused their daughter Ava. He, however, points out that children’s services cleared him of any wrongdoing.

Renner’s lawyer stated that Pacheco altered a photo to make it appear as if he carried a shotgun into their house while Ava was asleep. He insisted that the photo had been “grossly” doctored and was merely another of Pacheco’s attempts to blacken his name. Renner also claims that he is sober despite reports of his substance abuse problems, proven by urine tests that he has submitted every other day.

Amid all the allegations against Renner, Marvel has come to a bit of a hurdle. Since the company had planned on soon producing a Hawkeye television show to air on Disney’s new streaming service in 2021, they are now faced with the question of whether or not to recast Renner in the upcoming program.

Disney is considering their options, but many Marvel fans are pushing for the actor to be recast. Others want the series canceled all together rather than see a new actor take on the role. No matter what decision is made, the information out against Renner had definitely altered his reputation. Is he more like Hawkeye during his dark time at the beginning of “Endgame” than the family man we once knew?

It does not seem the Renner and Pacheco’s custody battle will be settling anytime soon. The two are ruthless and by the looks of it, willing to fight dirty. Both want what is best for their daughter, but with which parent does her best chance lie?
