Historic Hinchliffe Stadium comes alive Friday night as the New Jersey Jackals officially open their 29th season with Opening Day festivities beginning when gates open at 5:35 PM ahead of first pitch scheduled for 6:35 PM.
Fans arriving early will be welcomed with pregame festivities throughout the stadium, including music from DJ Stunna, helping kick off Opening Day celebrations and setting the tone for an exciting night of baseball in Paterson. 
Families and children will also have the opportunity to participate in a special “Read Around the Bases” pregame experience, helping create a community-first atmosphere centered around education, connection, and fun at one of America’s most historic sports venues.
Immediately following the conclusion of the game, fans will be treated to a spectacular postgame fireworks celebration lighting up the Paterson skyline as the New Jersey Jackals officially usher in the start of the 2026 season at Historic Hinchliffe Stadium.
During media day earlier this week, the excitement and chemistry surrounding the 2026 New Jersey Jackals was impossible to ignore.
Field Manager Bobby Jones shared that in all of his years playing, coaching, and being around the game of baseball, this group may have some of the best energy and chemistry he has ever seen assembled in a clubhouse.
That atmosphere was on full display behind the scenes at Hinchliffe Stadium as players and coaches danced, laughed, engaged with one another, and embraced the anticipation surrounding Opening Day. The energy throughout the ballpark reflected a team eager not only to compete, but to connect with the community and put on a show for fans throughout Paterson, North Jersey, and the surrounding communities all season long.
