William Paterson University will operate under a delayed opening, the university announced Monday afternoon at approximately 4 p.m.
The announcement follows the university’s closure the previous day, Monday, January 26.
According to the university, the delayed opening is the result of ongoing storm cleanup.
Classes and activities will begin at 10 a.m., with university offices opening at the same time. Essential employees are required to report to work on their regularly scheduled shifts.
The announcement comes hours after Paterson Public Schools confirmed they will be closed Tuesday, January 27. Passaic school districts will also remain closed.
As of Monday evening, every other school district in Passaic County will have a delayed opening, which includes Wayne, amongst others.
For residential students, University Commons will remain open at its normal start time of 7:30 a.m.
