William Paterson University will be closed Monday, January 26, 2026, due to a winter storm impacting the region.
All on-campus classes and activities are canceled. University offices will remain closed; however, online classes will continue as scheduled, allowing students to stay on track with coursework despite the weather.
Wayne and Paterson Public Schools will also be closed Monday. All after-school programs and recreational activities are canceled until further notice.

The storm, which began January 25, could bring up to a foot of snow to parts of New Jersey, particularly in Passaic and Bergen counties, marking the highest totals in years.
City officials are urging residents to avoid unnecessary travel and monitor official updates as conditions evolve.
The Paterson Office of Emergency Management advises residents to stay tuned to city and school district communications for the latest information on closures or delays.
