On Thursday, October 30, William Paterson Women’s Volleyball will host Stevens Institute of Technology for a non-conference matchup.
The Pioneers have only faced Stevens once before, a match that ended in a 3-1 loss for William Paterson.
This loss included two very close sets, scores tallying a 26-24 win for Stevens and a 25-23 win for William Paterson.
While only having one previous matchup, it can be predicted that it will be a close match considering common teams they have both played this season.
When Stevens faced Stockton University early in the season, they took down the Ospreys 3-0. William Paterson fell 3-0 to Stockton.
On the other hand, when playing Misericordia University, it was William Paterson that took the match 3-0 and Stevens lost 3-0.
Recently, both teams played Ithaca College, ranked No.15 in Division III volleyball. Both William Paterson and Stevens lost 3-1 to this difficult opponent.
Stevens Institute of Technology Volleyball is coming off of a few recent wins, while the Pioneers look to rally after an October 28 win over NJAC rival Ramapo College.
Could this momentum, or lack of, have an impact on the match?
Both teams are sure to be looking to get another win under their belt as they inch towards conference tournaments.
