On October 10, I had the privilege of attending New York Comic Con at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, N.Y.
This was my second time attending this convention, my first being NYCC 24. Comic Con is an experience I believe is something most people should experience because it’s not just for comic fans; it’s an experience for all who love entertainment. There is something for everyone.
For me, it’s all about buying collectibles, going to panels, and meeting celebrities. This year I did just that, buying action figures to add to my collection and artwork to support some of my favorite comic artists.
My biggest highlights from this year’s convention have to be my panel experiences. I started off my day by heading straight to my first panel for the upcoming film The Running Man starring Glen Powell. I got sneak peeks of the film where they showed us a full 10-minute unreleased scene from the movie, and we were the first to see the latest trailer for the upcoming picture.
On top of the sneak peeks, the audience also gets to listen to interviews with the cast and directors, so we got some insight into the process of making the film. Then comes the best part, in my opinion, which is after the panel is done.

If you get to the stage fast enough, you have a chance to get an autograph or picture with the panel guests. Of course, I had to get something, so for the first panel I had a quick interaction with Glen Powell, ending the interaction with a selfie.
After that panel I walked around the show floor and picked up some cool collectibles, like a Super Friends Captain Cold action figure signed by an animator/director of the show Super Friends, who you may also know for being the animator for Scooby Doo and The Flintstones and many more.
I also popped between booths, checking out all the show floors had to offer. After some walking around the show floor, I went to another panel where Post Malone was revealing details about his new comic book

BIG RIG, followed by a surprise video from esteemed filmmaker Michael Bay, where he announced bringing Post’s new comic to the big screen.
The panel was only an hour long, which I followed by heading to Artist Alley to pick up some artwork from some of my favorite smaller artists that I knew had booths.
To close out the day, I attended the final panel of the con, which was the Blumfest 2025 panel, which consisted of cast interviews and sneak peeks for Black Phone 2, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, and some games that Blumhouse is releasing in the coming years.
The Black Phone 2 panel was really cool, listening to the cast express how much the first film meant to them and how they kept the same energy from the first to the second.
The Five Nights at Freddy’s part of the panel seemed to be what had the audience the most hyped, featuring a surprise guest appearance from Matthew Lillard and cast announcements like Megan Fox as Toy Chica and Five Nights at Freddy’s YouTuber MatPat as Toy Bonny.
At the end when I approached the stage, the hosts of the panel, The Croes Bros, were handing out Black Phone cups, which I fortunately got signed by the founder of Blumhouse, Jason Blum.
That concluded my very eventful day, as it was insanely successful and fun. Looking forward to next year’s convention for more entertainment and celebrity fun.
