This week’s Pioneer of the Week goes to WP Softball’s Taylor Palmieri.
A transfer from Stockton University, Palmieri has burst on the scene in Wayne, contributing as an infielder and doing her fair share of work on the mound.
This week, Palmieri recorded six hits, batting .315, scoring five runs, and recording an RBI.
Defensively, Palmieri pitched 15 innings, recording six strikeouts and a win on the mound.
The Pioneers won three NJAC competitions this week, sweeping NJCU and splitting with Kean. Palmieri and the Pioneers are back in action Friday in a non-conference game against Lehman College.
