Hamilton Hall is about to become a winter wonderland.
A first-of-its-kind holiday dinner will spread cheer on Friday, Dec. 6, at 5 p.m., with a potluck dinner, student-produced films, and a creative twist on “Family Feud.”
Students can enjoy pizza, burgers, and pasta while competing for prizes including hot cocoa, popcorn, and a holiday decor basket at the inaugural Communications’ Celebration. Brave New Radio will play holiday music, and WPTV will screen some of its programming.
The event’s director, Baylee Matthews, conceived the celebration over the summer. Chris Cugliari, the president of WPTV, proposed a “Family Feud”-style game with professors and students creating their own teams and fighting for bragging rights.
“It’s been such a long time in the making, and I’m excited to see how this turns out,” Matthews said.
All the money raised from the prizes will go to a Toys for Tots program that donates toys and books to children on Native American reservations. In addition, the Student Public Relations Association will also accept toys for St. Joseph’s Hospital.
All students and faculty, including outside the Communication Department, are welcome to attend.
